After working as a Housing Benefits Officer for 14 years, I enrolled on a full-time Law Degree course in her early thirties, whilst still working a 25-hour week.
I gained and Upper Second Degree and qualified as a Solicitor at the age of 41. I am now an award-winning lawyer, winning the Litigation Team of the Year for Lawyers in Local Government in 2016, Runner Up for Legal Professional of the Year in the same year, and in 2017 was shortlisted for the Solicitors Journals Awards.
I was also shortlisted as Lawyer of the Year at the Law Society Excellence Awards in 2017. However, ever since I was a child, my passion has been to become a writer and my experiences in life has taught me it is never too late to live the dream.
